Rotated the text about 7 degrees. Elongated it vertically to fill the space of the logo a little better.

Applied some shading effects to the lettering.
Shading and "beveling" effects being a future article.

Created some cast shadows to help attach the lettering to the ring a little better.
Notice that there is a double set of shadows under the lettering. One shadow for the letters that hit the ring, and another for the letters that are over the ring center.
The logo design process still needed one final step though...
