The Airbrush paintings are done in reverse.

The Airbrush paints are on the back side of the Plexiglas.

First the masking material is sprayed on the plex, it is let dry, and then the shapes are cut into the masking. Each shape's masking is peeled off and the area on the plex is painted.

The highlights must go on first, then the dark shading, then the body color for each shape.

The image to the left is an enlargment of a section of the above painting.
The "Rose" painting was done on textured plexiglas. Chevron Oil gas station signs used this special textured plex, I got a piece and made this painting.
The above stained glass window is really a painting that has transparent - translucent sections in the painting to let light or outside view show through.
Painting the MOBIL oil signs were just some of the signs that I learned the technique of painting on the back side of clear Plexiglas.
