I wanted to show you the process of making of a cartoon airplane that would tow a banner across the top of my site. So I had to come up with a cartoon of an airplane.

I liked the look of the short little racing planes, so I used that as a starting point for my little plane.
1st. Step

Decided on a medium color of orange for the body of the plane, that way I could make highlights and shadows to give thickness to the parts.

2nd. Step

Since this was a cartoon I could rough out the shapes and not have to worry about being exact.
3rd. Step

Moved the parts into position and decided which parts would be on top.
